The Great Commandment (Remixes)

...

After restoring the music video for "The Great Commandment" using the original film material and premiering it digitally for the first time in May as the official version, we’re now taking things one step further with a song that means so much to Camouflage.
Starting now, both the original 1987 single and the remix single are officially available on all major streaming platforms. We're super excited about the digital release — especially since it got us to the top of the US Billboard Dance Charts not just once, but twice. Big shoutout to the remix versions that helped make it happen.
We warmly invite you to rediscover "The Great Commandment" in its many different versions — some of which were previously very hard to find.
Enjoy exploring all the versions of The Great Commandment!

"THE GREAT COMMANDMENT" VIDEO CLIP RESTORED IN 4K

Today at 10 a.m. (GMT+2), the newly restored 4K version of the original video clip of "The Great Commandment" premieres. The painstaking restoration process from the original 35mm film reels was led by Rainer Thieding, the original director of the video clip.
The band liked the freshly restored black-and-white footage so much, with its new shine and strong contrasts, that they decided to forgo the sepia-toned post-production of the 1988 version.

...

Camouflage will be guests at the storytelling café in the Kleinkunstkeller in Bietigheim-Bissingen on March 16, 2025 at 3 p.m.

The special exhibition "BiBi Pop" in the city museum of our hometown of Bietigheim-Bissingen ends at the end of March. Before that, however, we will be guests at the storytelling café, where the three of us will talk about the beginnings of our band and answer questions from the audience. We would be delighted if you all came along. Since there are only limited places, registration is required via eveeno.com/camouflage.

We look forward to seeing you!

Press release from the city:

They have been internationally known since the 1980s and their synthesizers, record covers and memorabilia from the early days of the band's history are on display in the special exhibition "BiBi Pop" in the Hornmoldhaus City Museum. Admission is free, but registration via eveeno.com/camouflage is required due to the limited number of spaces. The exhibition in the Hornmoldhaus runs until Sunday, March 30. Admission is free!

Go vote!

...

As artists, fathers, citizens and taxpayers, we are very worried about the social development of our country [Germany] and the future of our children. The world seems to be getting more and more out of control, and the attacks of the last few months have shocked us deeply. Unfortunately, politics and the parties of the democratic center do not make it easier for us to look to the future with confidence.
With our music, we stand for an open and empathetic world without racism. However, that does not blind us to many things that need to change in our country. Nevertheless, we are convinced that these changes must come from the center of our society.
For us, it is clear that viable and realistic answers to the complex problems of our time will not come from populist parties like the AFD. Quite the opposite: they use freedom and the instruments of democracy to damage it.
The least we can do is go and vote on Sunday! It is about showing that we care about who shapes our country in the coming years.

X-Mas Download 2024

...

This year's Christmas download is an MP3 of the demo version (No. 8) of "Laughing" from July 6, 2012.
It is therefore a very early version of the song, as it took a while until the final version appeared on the 2015 album "Greyscale" and thus gives an insight into the development of "Greyscale". Many ideas and parts are already very close to the later album version, but the last C-part "Destruct me with your eyes ..." is still completely missing.

In these troubled times, Camouflage and the info team wish you a very merry Christmas and a peaceful New Year 2025.
